COFFEIN CONVERSATIONES AD LIBET refers to the spontaneous exchange of a series of images in the form of SMS and MMS, which has as its common denominator the passion for drinking coffee.
This non-verbal communication, the pictorial impulse, was the trigger for many conversations in the exchange between the two artists Ferdinand Penker and Eric Kressnig in the period from 26 May 2013 to 21 May 2014.
Ferdinand Penker
1950 - 2014, visual artist, studied medicine and art history in Graz, Forum member, professorship at UC Davis, USA. The main theme of his oeuvre is painting as such, in its process of creation, its form of appearance and its possibilities of perception.

Eric Kressnig
*1973 in Klagenfurt, studied at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna.
In his works he combines painting, object and installation. In doing so, he establishes a system that follows its own specific logic. He combines different materials and uses a reduced language of form and colour. The position of the object elements in relation to each other creates a relation in which the motif of displacement, minimal deviation and refraction becomes the system. Kressnig lives and works in Vienna.
